things we lost in the fire

Nothing feels better nowadays than the small pleasures. The lazy and pleasant satiety after a full meal, sitting under the sun. That intimacy wrapped in your eyes. The touch of lover’s hand on the back of my neck late on a Sunday, the smell of coffee on the shop before everyone has woken-up.

The warmth of the bread
[we share.
The simple poetry.
The bad poetry.
Seeing an old friend that I missed.

Forgiveness.

I wait for all those things. I seek them daily. Do it as well.
